Online Assessment Test

The online assessment tests at Cisco can further be divided into two sections. They are as follows:

  • Aptitude Test

  • Technical Test

Aptitude Test

As the name suggests, this test is conducted to evaluate your aptitude and reasoning. This is a time-barred test with no negative marking. The questions asked here are related to probability, logical reasoning, numbers, speed and time, clock, algebra, mixtures, and simple and compound interest.

To clear this round, you need to focus more on the time limit. Set a time limit for each question and leave it if that limit is over.

The test has a total of 20 questions to be solved within the time duration of 30 minutes.


Technical Test

  • This test is conducted to evaluate your technical knowledge of the field. This, too, is a time-barred test with no negative marking. The questions asked in this test are related to:

    • computer networking,

    • microprocessors,

    • data structures,

    • CMOS, algorithms,

    • system design,

    • digital electronics, C,


Here, too, you need to focus on solving the question in time. If a question is dragging on, make a smart guess and move on to the next question.

The technical test has a total of 30 questions to be solved in 40 minutes.

Both tests have multiple-choice questions only.


Technical Interview Round

After you clear both the assessment test, you get asked to attend a technical interview round, the next step in the Cisco interview experience. In this interview round, you are asked questions in real time about the technical aspects of the job.
